Common fixes
Why can't I see any afters?
AfterHours is in Tel Aviv for now. Afters open at 4am Tel Aviv time. Until then, Tonight shows a countdown and how many afters are planned near you, and everything comes down again at midday. Tap "Tell me when they open" for one alert at 4am. If it's after 4am and the list is empty, nobody near you has posted yet, so pull down on Tonight to check again.
Why do I need to sign in?
Planning works without signing in. Live discovery, joining and hosting use Sign in with Apple. Apple shares a private account identifier and the first name you choose to share. AfterHours does not request your email. An Apple account does not verify someone's identity or an after's safety.
How do I get the address?
Open an after, choose who's coming and tap "Ask to join". When the host says yes, the address and door notes appear on that after and in My night. If the after is full, the button reads "Join the waitlist" instead, and the host can still let you in if space opens.
Where did the address go?
Address access ends at midday or when the host ends the after. The app clears expired saved passes when it next runs after midday. A night you were let into turns into a "Rate it" card in My night for two days, then that goes too.
The distances look wrong
Tap "Use my location" on Tonight so distances are measured from where you're standing. Without it, the app measures from Rothschild Boulevard.
How do I host?
Open the Host tab, tap "Post an after" and fill in the area and the full address, which is all the typing it needs because every other question starts answered. AfterHours asks for your location so approved guests get directions to the right door. Guests only see the area. The address and door notes go to each person you tap "Say yes" for. Turn on "We're full" to stop new requests, and tap "End the after" when you're done. Everything you post comes down at midday on its own.
How do I plan the whole night?
Open Plan and create your night. Add stops with a date and time, add your crew and tick off the preparation checklist. Stops after midnight need the next date. Plans work offline and stay on this phone. Sharing creates a copy, so send another copy if your plan changes. A planned after does not grant entry. You still need the host's approval.
How do expense splits work?
Open your plan's budget, add what someone paid and select who shared that expense. The app splits every cent and suggests who should pay whom. No money moves in AfterHours. To remove a crew member used in an expense, remove that expense first. You can change a plan's currency before adding expenses.
What does Studio add?
Studio is one optional purchase for multiple saved plans, additional reusable host playbooks and CSV door list exports. Finding, joining, hosting, safety, one complete plan and one playbook stay free. Open Settings, AfterHours Studio to see the current App Store price or restore a purchase. Use the Apple Account that bought it. If the App Store cannot load, your free tools still work.
How do I manage the door?
Open Host, then Door list. Search approved guests and mark their crew as arrived. The app refuses approvals larger than your remaining capacity. Edit capacity and door notes from the host desk. Playbooks reuse public setup choices and never save an exact address. A Studio CSV export contains guest names. Share it only where you intend to keep that copy.
Why was my after refused?
AfterHours doesn't list anything about drugs or paid company, so take that wording out and post again. If you think the filter got it wrong, write to us and say what you typed.
How do the safety tools work?
Tap the shield at the top of any screen. Hold "Hold for help" for a second and you choose whether to call the emergency number for your country or text your trusted friend. A quick tap does nothing, so it can't go off in a pocket. "Share where I am" and "I'm home safe" open a text to your trusted friend in Messages, and nothing is sent until you tap send. Choose or change that friend in Safety or in Settings.
Reporting and blocking
On any after, tap the three dots for "Report this after" or "Block", and hosts can press and hold a request to do the same. Blocking works both ways at once. A report goes to a person who reads it, and we act on reports within 24 hours, faster for anyone who felt unsafe or anyone under 18. We can suspend an account straight away.
Why is the app dark, with no map?
That's battery saver. It switches to a dark screen, shows the list instead of the map and checks for updates once a minute. It comes on by itself with Low Power Mode or under 20% charge. Change it in Settings under Battery.
The 4am alert doesn't arrive
Check that "Tell me when afters open" is on in the app's Settings, and that notifications are allowed for AfterHours in your iPhone's Settings, under Notifications.
Deleting your account
In AfterHours, open Settings and tap "Delete account and data". Read the confirmation before continuing. Deletion cannot be undone.
Your data
To delete your data, open Settings > Delete account and data in AfterHours. Read how AfterHours handles your information in the privacy policy.
