Before anyone arrives
Ready to host is a checklist you can edit. It starts fresh after each after.
- Check capacity and house rules
- Set out water
- Clear the entrance
- Check the door instructions
- Have a charger ready
Post the after
Every question starts answered, so posting takes about 30 seconds.
- Open Host and tap Post an after
- Enter the area and the full address
- Choose the music, entry and capacity
- Add door instructions for approved guests
- Post it
Choose who comes in
Guests see the area, never your address. Each request shows a first name, a crew size and how many hosts would have them back. Tap Say yes or Not tonight. A crew only fits if every person fits.
Run the door
Open Door list to search approved guests and tap Mark crew as arrived. Turn on We're full to stop new requests. Tap End the after when you're done.
Afterwards
Everything comes down at midday on its own. A summary of approvals and arrivals stays under Past nights.
Questions about hosting
Who can see my address?
Only you and the guests you say yes to. Listings show the area, never the door.
Can I change capacity during the night?
Yes. Tap Edit door and capacity. Capacity can't go below the guests you've already approved.
Does hosting cost anything?
No. Hosting, approvals and the door list are free. AfterHours Studio adds door list export.
